God's Plan for your Salvation

  1. Do you believe in God?
  2. Do you believe that GOD LOVES YOU? (Jn. 3:16)
  3. Do you believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God? (Mk. 1:1, 1 Jn. 4:10)
  4. Do you believe you are a sinner? (Rom 3:23)
  5. Do you believe that Jesus Christ died for your sins? (Rom. 6:23; 1 Tim. 1:15)
  6. Do you want Jesus Christ to save you from your sins? (Rom. 6:23)
  7. The Bible says; "That if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you can be saved."  Scripture also says, "whoever calls upon the name of the Lord can be saved." Do you believe this?
  8. Is there any reason you cannot commit your life to Christ right now?
  9. You can commit your life to Jesus Christ and receive His salvation through faith expressed in prayer. Prayer is talking with God. Please read the following prayer and determine if this is what you want to ask God?    Dear Lord, I know I have lived my life for myself, and I have never received you as the "boss" or Lord of my life. I need forgiveness. Thank you for dying for my sins and offering me eternal life. I now confess you as my Lord and receive you into my heart as my Savior. Take control of my life and give me the daily desire to live for you. In Jesus' name, Amen.   Does this prayer express what you want to ask God?
  10. Will you pray that prayer right now and receive Christ into your heart?
  11. After praying, do you believe that Jesus Christ has come into your heart and saved you from your sins? (Jn. 1:12)
  12.

Steps for a Follower of Christ

  1. Trust Jesus Christ.    Jesus Christ Said, "Everyone that believes in Me will live forever." Jn. 7:47. When you prayed to receive Jesus into your heart, you believed or trusted Him. Jesus said you have everlasting life because of your belief. Everlasting life began the moment you believed and will never end. Jesus Christ entered your heart at that moment and you are neow a child of God; "As many as received Him, to them He gave the power to become the Sons of God, because they believed on His name." Jn. 1:12
  2. Confess Jesus brfore men.   Jesus required those who would follow Him to do so publicly. A follower cannot be ashamed of being a follower of Christ. Paul, a follower of Jesus said, "I am not ashamed of the Gospel of Christ." Romans 1:16. Most Baptist Churches offer an invitation at the close fo their worship services to those who desire to confess Christ publicly.
  3. Follow the example of Jesus and be baptized.   Baptism is symbolic of what Christ has done in yourlife. A wedding ring does not marry a person, it only indicates that one is married. Baptism does not bring Jesus into your life, but it is an act which shows that you are now a follower of Jesus.  Acts 8:12 says, "But when they believed Philip's preaching about the kingdom of God, and the name of Jesus Christ, both men and women were baptized."
  4. Join a local church.   The Bible gives and example of new followers joining a church in Acts 2:41, "Then those who gladly received His word were baptized; and on that day about three thousand sould were added to the church." The church is a local group of Believers who gather to praise and worship God, to pray, to study the Bible, to fellowship, and learn how to share their faith more effectively. The church one joins is very important. It should be a church where the Bible is preached, taught, and believed as God's Word rather than a book containing words abut God.  Local Baptist churches welcome genuine followers of Christ to join with them.
